The Significance of the Man Called Jesus

JesusIn order to appreciate the significance of Jesus it is necessary to understand that everything is composed of energy, and energy works in cycles. A cycle continues from its beginning to a point of completion. A life cycle in our natural world is one in which energy promotes growth from a beginning with potential, to an end that brings that potential to a total transformation – as the life cycle of a seed to a tree, or of an infant to an adult. The same idea applies in the dimension of Spirit.

The energy that powers natural life and growth has a spiritual basis and its nature is indefinable. This energy, as the Source of all things, is most commonly called “God” and has no attributes, features, qualities, parts, characteristics or form because It existed before any of these came into existence. God is also beyond mind and is encountered as darkness or emptiness, an abyss, or nothingness when experienced by those who become enlightened or realized. So, if we think back to what it was like prior to creation we see that there is only “nothing” or “no-thing” – only the Source of creation exists that we refer to as “God.” In this Source there is no awareness because there is nothing of which to be aware. However, as quantum physicists have discovered, and as those who have realized it have declared, this “No-thing” contains every conceivable possibility as unexpressed potential. Jesus referred to this Source as “the Father” because it is a concept that people could relate to and understand. Most people, even today, have difficulty comprehending the idea of God as being a reservoir of everything and yet a “No-thing” as compared to “things.”

The Christian Bible tells us that it was through the “Word” that all things were created. (John 1:3) John equates this “Word” with God, and the “Word made flesh” he describes as the man called Jesus. This idea of a “Word” implies an expression of sound, sound being energy. The newly created “light” of Genesis is also an expression of energy, and these similes are used to describe pure consciousness that has no way of being defined. This consciousness might more fittingly be called the “Mind of God” in which creation developed over eons of time. Then it becomes more easily understood as the energy of pure consciousness that is forming ideas and impressions. It is the same consciousness, personified as Adam, that left its spiritual source to enter the dimension of the physical. Once consciousness became attracted to the denser dimension of matter, it became necessary for this energy to find its way back to its Source.

From the point of creation’s beginning as light and/or sound (both being vibratory energies) a cycle was begun and is playing itself out as consciousness within the minds and souls of humans. The cycle that was begun in Adam, was completed in Jesus. While Adam brought consciousness away from the spiritual into the physical world, Jesus brought that consciousness back into the dimension of Spirit. In this way Jesus established the law of grace which is more powerful than the law of karma. The life of Jesus may then be seen as a demonstration of the way in which a cycle of life energy, or consciousness, might be brought back to its Source having become fully transformed.

As Jesus took his last breath, he remarked, “It is finished.” (John 19:30) This indicated a completion of the cycle from a “Nothingness” that had no way of perceiving Itself, to the consciousness in a human so faultless as to perfectly reflect back to the Source all that it was. In this way, Jesus was the first to make the unconscious Source conscious through his own physical mind. Before the lifetime of Jesus, humans were conscious of God, but because of Jesus, the unconscious Source that we call “God” became conscious in a man. This is the meaning of the Christ Consciousness, also referred to as the Universal Consciousness, and it is also the meaning of the atonement or at-one-ment. It is a complete merger of a human’s body consciousness with the unconscious source of our being. This is an intimate joining of the “Mind of God” with the mind of a physical body, a melding of the deeper super-conscious mind with the shallower conscious awareness of a living human’s brain. Man and God become as one.

The destiny and purpose of each and every soul as an offspring of Adam is to return to its Source, or beginning, having become reconciled through the balancing of its energies. This is made possible as each unique individual soul participates in earthly experiences until it becomes a perfect reflection of its Creator in at-one-ment. The role of Jesus was to show us how to do that through love. Jesus is the perfect model for us to follow because he demonstrated, through his life on earth, the way that we should live to balance the energy of our souls in order to accomplish this purpose, the purpose that was established in the beginning.

The Resurrection of the Body

AuraComments on The Resurrection of the Body given by St. Paul To the Corinthians (1Corinthians 15)
[The Gospel quotes are in bold italics.]

The resurrection of the body is a Christian belief stated in the Apostles’ Creed. It does not refer to the resurrection of Jesus alone. It is intended for each one of us.

The idea of the dead coming back to life is certainly a strange one, and it was considered as such by many people living during the time of Jesus. But even in the Old Testament we find reference to a resurrection of the body. Your dead shall live. (Isaiah 26: 19) Many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake. (Daniel 12:2)
After the death of Jesus, this concept of the dead coming back to life became a central fact for those who followed him. Since there were many non-believers, Paul sought to clarify the meaning of the resurrection:

But if there is no resurrection of the dead, neither has Christ been raised. If Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain, and your faith also is in vain. But now Christ has been raised from the dead. He became the first fruits of those who are asleep.
Jesus was the first to resurrect his physical body – and since that time there have been a few accounts of other holy people who have done the same. While these accounts cannot be proven without a doubt, it does suggest the possibility of resurrection of the body for everyone. Paul says:

But someone will say, “How are the dead raised?” and, “With what kind of body do they come?” You foolish one, that which you yourself sow (as seeds planted in the earth) is not made alive unless it dies. (That which) is sown (in flesh is) a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body and there is also a spiritual body. So also it is written, “The first man, Adam, became a living soul.” The last Adam (Jesus) became a life-giving spirit. However that which is spiritual isn’t first, but that which is natural, then (comes) that which is spiritual. The first man is of the earth, made of dust.
Paul indicates that Adam, the first man, was a “living soul.” This soul was the Light of conscious awareness, the Light that had been created in the beginning, and it merged with nature to become a soul within a body of flesh. This was the “fall from heaven” – the descent of the spiritual as it became a part of the physical world through the means of a flesh body. It is through a flesh body that the soul finds its individuality, differentiating itself from the unity of its origins. This is the work of the ego or self (with a small “s”), as it develops in the “man of the earth.”

The second man (Jesus, the last Adam) is the Lord from heaven. … flesh and blood can’t inherit the Kingdom of God; neither does corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I tell you a mystery… the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we will be changed.
Just as Adam brought the Spirit into flesh, Jesus brought the flesh back to Spirit. Flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God because different levels of vibratory energy are not compatible. Spirit is a higher level of energy, and materiality is a lower level of energy. The soul, having become “corrupted” by nature’s vibrations through the senses, is now required to balance the energy it has accumulated. When the soul’s vibrations harmonize with Spirit, it gains the power to create in the same way that Spirit created in the beginning. Then it can create another body of flesh that is in harmonic vibration with Spirit. Once the vibratory energy of the body has been transformed into spiritual energy it can “inherit the Kingdom.”

But when this corruptible (body) will have put on incorruption, and this mortal (body) will have put on immortality, then what is written will happen: “Death is swallowed up in victory.” (Isaiah 25:8) “Death, where is your sting? Hades, where is your victory?” (Hosea 13:14) The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.
The power of sin is the law because we are subject to the laws of cause and effect, and for each transgression there will be a compensating consequence to create a balancing of energy, known as karma. But the incorruptible body is no longer subject to the law because it has transcended the law by becoming wholly (holy) balanced and in harmony with God.

(John 20:17) verifies the fact that a return to the Father God provides the transformation required to turn nature’s flesh to spiritual flesh:
Jesus said to her, “Don’t touch me, for I haven’t yet ascended to my Father; but go to my brothers, and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.'”
God intended that every soul should have the possibility of returning to its Source (the Father God) as the completion of a spiritual cycle that went from God to man, and from man back to God. Jesus was the first to bring back to the Father the original Light of awareness that Adam had brought from Spirit into materiality. The life of the soul began in Adam within the natural world with the purpose of bringing the soul back to its spiritual origins, completely transformed in Love, as the completion of a spiritual cycle. This completion occurred as Jesus died, returned to the Father, and was then able to reconstruct the atoms of the physical body to create a glorified body by means of the spiritualized mind. This was much like the original spiritual creation in the Mind of God, but now it was occurring in an individual who had become one with God.

But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the Lord’s work, because you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
Having completed the cycle of consciousness by bringing it back to the Father God, the body of Jesus became a glorified, incorruptible body of flesh, impervious to death. This is the possibility of at-one-ment (atonement) of God and man – that which was impossible for us until Jesus “opened the gates of heaven” and provided a Way for us to follow him. God became man so that man can become one, again, with God – knowing ourselves to be ourselves, yet One with the Whole. Thus our labor is not in vain if we follow the teachings of Jesus. This we do by transforming our inner selves through virtuous acts of patience and love.

The Meaning of Easter

jesus_resurrection smaller Easter Sunday celebrates the rising from the dead of the man called Jesus. Having been crucified on a Friday, his body was laid in a cave-like tomb with a stone rolled across the entrance, as was the custom of the day. It was also the Jewish custom to anoint the body of the deceased, but this had not been possible because it was not allowed on a Saturday, which was the Sabbath or Jewish Holy Day. So the women went to the tomb early on Sunday to anoint the body, but they discovered that the body was not there.

We are told that Jesus consequently appeared to many of his followers, causing some to be afraid because they thought they were seeing a ghost. However, Jesus showed them that his body was just as solid and as real as their own by asking for food and eating it. This is basically the story of the resurrection.

What is different about this story from other stories telling of dead bodies being brought back to life (such as the raising of Lazarus) is that the body of Jesus was not the exact same physical body that had hung on the cross. His physical body had dissolved and his resurrected body was reconstructed from the vibratory light energy of his soul. Essentially, this was a result of Mind over matter in the ultimate sense, and it demonstrates the fact that the energy intake through the five senses builds the quality of the soul which, in turn, determines the quality of the physical body. Since everything is composed of energy (including the soul) the soul is built from the energy of our thoughts, words, actions and experiences that it “feeds” upon. This energy is then used to produce a physical body which will be formed according to the quality of the vibrations of the soul. It also demonstrates the meaning of “as we sow, so shall we reap” as well as being an argument for reincarnation.

So now the question is – why did Jesus have to die and what does all this mean for us? And the short answer is that we were given access to the Father God through the death and resurrection of Jesus. Let me explain:

First we have to imagine what it was like prior to creation – when the force or power that we call “God” was without form or substance – before time, place or things existed. Then, as scientists claim, there was a “big bang” causing chaos as massive amounts of energy began to move and coalesce into created “things.” From the spiritual standpoint, this “big bang” was the Son of God, His “first born,” the original emanation from which everything else was created. It was the Immaculate Conception through which all things were conceived in the now existing “Mind of God.” It consisted of a new dimension that was separate from, and yet one with, the original Source of formless, substanceless, timeless power that we call God – that which we think of as “the Father.” This was the initial awareness that required something of which to be aware – and so it brought about creation as we understand it today. It was the beginning of the Master Soul, of which we are all a part, having been conceived immaculately within the womb of creation.

The energy emanating through the Mind of God began creation through an infinite number of vibrations that blended into harmonies from waves of sound. Their fluctuations wavered between creation and the unbounded, eternal force that began them. This was the beginning of a cycle, a cycle being an integral part of vibration, vibration having been poetically described as God’s “Word” by John in the Bible. This cycle of creation continued throughout history as this single consciousness became lost in the myriad forms of its own making. As this consciousness became intimately connected to form, individual souls were nurtured and shaped by taking in vibrations of all that they experienced. One of these souls followed the course of the main spiritual cycle that was set in the beginning, and eventually it appeared on earth in the body that was called Jesus. Through his spirit-filled life, Jesus brought the fulfillment of the cyclic spiritual journey that began in the uncreated, formless, substanceless, timeless God in which there was no awareness (because there was nothing of which to be aware) to its end in a created, fully human individual with full awareness, and in whom that uncreated, formless, substanceless, timeless God could finally become aware of all of His creation. That is to say, God became consciously aware for the first time through the medium of a human’s consciousness. In this way, the resurrection of Jesus completed the cycle of Spirit.

The life of Jesus was a reflection of the Father Spirit or Source through which creation began and is sustained. By living a holy life, Jesus showed us the Way we must travel to get back to our roots, our beginning, our Source. Through his example, he showed us that we are all loved as children of God, and through his teaching we learned that our heritage is to become spiritual beings, capable of performing all the miracles of which He had the power, and even more.

In essence, Jesus showed us that we are on earth to cultivate and grow a spirit of love within us to form a vibratory condition for the soul that will enable it to merge with its Source. We are to become fully united again with God, so that God may become aware in us. This was not possible for any human being until Jesus gave his life. This was required of him through a physical body so that he could return its consciousness to the Father and provide a way for each of us to do the same. It required a complete giving up of self, a death that for us is the death of ego as it becomes transformed through integration with Spirit. It is then that our soul’s vibrations will become harmonized with those of Spirit so they may blend and become One – so that we may know ourselves to be ourselves while part of the Whole. It is then that God will become conscious in us and we may say, “I am in the Father and the Father is in me.”

An interesting article appeared in the June 2007 issue of Discover Magazine that describes the evaporation of the body of a devout lama in Eastern Tibet. Such cases have been referred to by Tibetan Buddhists as “rainbow bodies.” The article has 4 parts and also discusses the search for a soul. Read the article here: Soul Search

Cycles of Time

YugasThat which has been is that which shall be; and that which has been done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun. Is there a thing of which it may be said, “Behold, this is new?” It has been long ago, in the ages which were before us. There is no memory of the former; neither shall there be any memory of the latter that are to come, among those that shall come after. Ecclesiastes 1:9-11

There is nothing new under the sun – everything that was old will be new again. This is a truth that is not usually recognized. We live in a world where there are continuous cycles within cycles, and what goes around, comes around. This is evident in the familiar cycles of day and night that are within the cycle of seasons that are within the cycle of years. Scientists tell us that everything is composed of energy, and energy works in cycles that continue to repeat their history after having changed it. If we can determine where we are within these cycles we might be able to understand the meaning of the date, December 21, 2012.

There’s been a lot of hype about December 21, 2012 and its indication that the end of the world is at hand. People have believed that the world would end at various times, many even building underground bunkers or congregating at a particular “safe place” after selling all they had. They obviously were misled because the world is still here and will be here for some time to come. However, the date of December 21, 2012 does have some significance regarding an ending – but the ending is also a new beginning.

Throughout time our ancestors have left messages about this ending/beginning in various forms. Some men have made it their life’s work to decipher these messages so they could be understood in light of current events. Many have come to the conclusion that we are on a journey through space in which cycles of time and energy are playing out to bring us back to our beginnings.

In the beginning, according to the way in which we are able to comprehend it, all things were of a spiritual quality. This is portrayed in the Bible as the “Garden of Eden” – the heavenly place of existence where Adam and Eve ate an apple and were driven out. While this is a parable the “Garden of Eden” pretty much describes things as they were in the beginning – an ethereal existence where there was “heaven on earth.” In more logical terms, this beginning of creation was not one of solid matter, but was composed of spirit that eventually evolved into the coarser and more solidified substance that is familiar today. Just as water (which is a symbol for spirit) can be gas as vapor, liquid as water, and solid as ice, the spirit world slowly changed from being composed of spirit to one of more solid substances composed of atoms and molecules that make up our universe. But, in the beginning of creation, everything was closely connected with spirit and had spiritual qualities.

Spirit basically is energy in motion, and the motion of energy takes on a wave form, or spiral kind of motion, causing it to change along a progressive pathway. As it did so, both substance and form became more complex, but it also became more removed from its spiritual beginning. As the human race developed, it also went through many changes, and the knowledge of spirit, that was so immediate in the beginning, became more and more a distant memory. Some of these memories were handed down from generation to generation in the form of myths and legends.

Several of these myths and legends allude to a time when there were drastic changes in the earth causing the destruction of man’s physical presence as well as his accumulated knowledge that had been recorded in many different forms. But a few of these forms survived and recently have been found to contain prophecy of things to come. Some of these forms provide an indication that there are signs in the stars and their relative positions to the earth.

Ancient Oriental astronomers, whose knowledge of the heavens was remarkable for their time, indicated that our solar system, with its sun and planets, revolves around another star. This orbit is such that it is completed only once in approximately every 24,000 of our earth’s years. In addition, they indicated that our sun, with its dual star, revolves around a grand center that emits powerful energetic radiation. As our solar system drifted away from this grand center, the mental capacity of humans decreased causing memories and knowledge of spirit to fade. In other words, humans have gone from a condition of spirit to a condition of matter in which all understanding and memory of their origins has been lost.

But the good news is that, while this cycle has been on a downward turn, it is beginning to shift its position into an upward turn – and this is the message of December 21, 2012. This means that the solar system is slowly advancing back toward the grand center where the radiation is stronger and will eventually bring us back to the place in the heavens where it all began. There is an expectation that this radiation will not only increase the mental and spiritual capacity of mankind, but it will also change our DNA in order to accommodate the increase in energy that the next level of Spirit requires.

These concepts have been explained by different authors in several different books and are summarized here according to the understanding of this author. The main message taken from all of this is that our universe will continue on until its purpose is fulfilled – and its purpose is to provide mankind with an environment in which we can fulfill the desire of Love to become conscious within each of us. For more information about all of this, read my book, SPIRIT AND TRUTH.

What Is Free Will?

YinYang
According to Theopedia:

Probably the most common definition of free will is the ability to make choices without any prior prejudice, inclination, or disposition – and specifically that these ‘free will’ choices are not ultimately predestined by God.

To make a choice “without any prior prejudice, inclination, or disposition” requires being focused on inner peace. This is often called the “vortex” by Abraham-Hicks and the “watcher” by others. It is a place within us where there are no preconceived ideas of an outcome. It is a choice in which action comes about FREE of emotions or thoughts.

The yin yang symbol represents the duality required for our three-dimensional existence. Without duality everything would be the same, without differentiation. Between the two extremes of duality there is a central balancing point in which opposites cease to exist. When we work out of this inner neutral center we are able to respond rather than react, accepting all things without conditions.  This is tolerance, patience, compassion, and especially love manifesting from the “still point” within.  Free will comes from this “still point” as willingness that is free from either extreme.

Most often we exercise choice, which comes from the ego-mind instead of the center of our Being. Many of our choices aren’t even choices because they are habitual reactions that are expressions of ingrained negative emotions and experiences.  These are actions sourced from inner emotional turmoil rather than from inner peace.

We can choose to act at one extreme (positive) or the other (negative), but acting through free will is acting from neither. It is acting from inner peace through unconditional Love.

The Fatima Secret

In my book, Spirit and Truth, there is an explanation of the way in which human evolution was advanced in the beginning through a change in DNA caused by radiation. This occurred as the earth traveled through strong magnetic fields that were a part of its cyclic path through space. This is destined to occur once again as our solar system returns to an area of high radioactivity as it begins a new cycle. The purpose of the radiation in this place in space is to bring about a new race of man. Its effects will bring about a new consciousness in which all will live in peace and allow the second coming of Christ to occur. This is destined to occur and everyone should be aware, not only of the fact that it will happen, but of its significance to the human race.

The path of our solar system is taking us into an area of extreme energetic forces. See “Voyager Makes an Interstellar Discovery.” In the extreme, this radiation could shower the earth with radioactivity, while once more changing the evolutionary pattern of mankind. The prophecies, of Fatima and Garabandal particularly, contained warnings from Mary (the mother of Jesus) of a terrible chastisement if people did not change their selfish and materialistic ways.

However, a major shift in consciousness appears to be happening as evidenced by the increasing number of people who are publicly demonstrating their own consciousness shift and offering their help to others. Several websites such as Miracles of Mind, and Integral Enlightenment, along with Facebook pages and YouTube videos, are appearing to help those who are seeking a deeper meaning to life. Signs seem to be everywhere that old ideas are being replaced by new ways of thinking and being. It is important to understand that each person’s contribution to this shift contributes to the whole and hastens the possibility of world peace. We each have a vital part to play in events that will affect the future of our world, our children and ourselves.
