Christ and Anti-Christ

The word “Christ” is most often associated with the name Jesus as though it were a last name. But the word “Christ” comes from the Greek word “Christos” which means anointed. In Hebrew the same word would be “Mashiach,” or Messiah. Since many of the ancient manuscripts were written in Greek, the word Christ became associated with the name of Jesus. Properly used, it should be “Jesus the Christ” as it has been translated in some Biblical versions of Matthew 16: 20.

The Christ, as it is becoming more correctly understood today, is not a person but a consciousness. The Christ Consciousness is the Universal Consciousness of wholeness, unity, and oneness. Since the Source of all creation is Infinite Potential without form or limits, the Christ Consciousness can be imagined as the “mind of God,” the original thought expressed by the Godhead that is most often called the “Father.” The “Son of God” can then be more easily understood as the Christ Consciousness since it is the first and most intimate manifestation of God the “Father.” This was the consciousness within the man called Jesus, enabling him to say, “I am in the Father and the Father is in me.” (John 14: 11)
ChristConsciousness2
The Christ Consciousness is a harmonious whole in which everyone and everything is included. As a Consciousness of wholeness and unity, the Christ Consciousness recognizes no separation, conditions, or limitations. There is no “us vs them” or “me vs you” because “me” is the same as “you” and “us” becomes identical to “them.” All is One thing, without separation, as pure unconditional love. The Christ Consciousness has no limitations and, therefore, is not limited to the man called Jesus. It is available to all who are willing to shed ego’s identity with selfishness and separation in order to take on the Christ Consciousness and become like Jesus.

The anti-Christ is most often thought of as a particular individual who is the personification of evil. However, this consciousness can take root within groups as well, particularly when it is aroused through a common belief. This can be recognized easily when people of the same mind act as a group to express their feelings of self-righteousness, fear and hate. The consciousness of the anti-Christ is the product of ego living in a world of duality, a world that is seen as a threat to its own existence. It separates that which it considers to be good from that which it considers to be evil. That which is thought to be good will provide solely for its own benefit and beliefs, while that which deters it from accomplishing its selfish desires, or that disagrees with its beliefs, will be considered evil. As the opposition to the Christ, it is a consciousness of separation from the Whole. It is disharmony and disruption, that which cannot accept the Consciousness of the Christ.

Wake Up People!

Don’t you understand that, in whatever circumstance you find yourself, it is of your own creation? You are reaping whatever you have sown. Only you are responsible for the life you have, and you will continue to have, until you make the necessary changes – to your attitudes, your desires, your dislikes, your habits, your way of being. It is only through sowing the seeds of tolerance, respect, humility, patience, forgiveness, acceptance and LOVE that you can reap happiness, contentment, peace and joy. Expecting different results when trying to change things outside yourself without making any changes inside yourself just doesn’t work. It has to begin with a change of mind, of attitude, of heart. Learn to sit quietly without distractions, look within and listen to the small, still voice that is calling you to awaken. If you want things to change, the change has to come from within. It is up to you to choose, not only the kind of life you have now, but the quality of life that will be yours in the future. Change your mind and change your world.
